We are looking for an Account Manager to join our highly motivated sales team. The position will report to the Business Development Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the sales of columns within our chiral chromatography product line. The territory for this role will encompass the state of Delaware through the state of Maine and will be Philadelphia to Boston area based. In this role the successful candidate will:

Maintain and support existing accounts and develop opportunities for sales growth with the customer base
Prospect and develop new accounts, including cold calling and networking through trade groups
Manage the entire sales process, including analyzing financial aspects, communicating customer feedback to internal associates and negotiating and closing the opportunity
Monitor and provide feedback on competitive activity
Coordinate technical workshops and seminars
Attend trade shows
Maintain the customer relationship management system (CRM), provide weekly activity reports, prepare a territory fiscal year forecast and update it quarterly, and submit expense reports as required

Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or other life science
Three years’ experience in selling into the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical markets
Chromatography experience is strongly preferred
Pharmaceutical research background preferred
Expert knowledge of the entire sales process required
Proven track record in negotiating and closing business
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Demonstrated proficiency in using computer and database software, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, CRM, and Excel
Ability to travel up to 50%
Must be insurable and maintain a valid driver’s license
