Below are some of the various production positions held at GPI. Schedules vary depending on the open position. You will be able to select your preferred work schedule within the application. Starting pay rates range from $11.50 - $12.00. With 7% Shift Differential.

POSITION: PRESHUFFLE OPERATOR

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

Preshuffle shuffling machine operation: Continuous operation of up to sixteen (16) MD3 shuffling machines, maintaining consistent and accurate production levels; read and understand department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); ability to change thermal paper in the printers; successfully change the programs on the MD3 machines.
Deck inspection: Various functions of inspection including inspecting decks as they are processed, inspecting for manufacturing defects, printing defects, and removal of defective products as necessary.
Shrink Wrap Machine: Ability to operate shrink wrap machine accurately and effectively.
Production paperwork and communication: Begin training on completing paperwork accurately as necessary and communicating with senior operators, supervisors, managers and support staff when machines need adjustments; accurate completion of the Preshuffle Exit Log; contribute to a positive team environment and work successfully with other team members.
Housekeeping: Maintain Preshuffle department cleanliness by sweeping floor, emptying waste receptacles, placing supplies received in their proper locations, cleaning work surfaces and other housekeeping duties as deemed necessary.
Material Handling: Transporting work and supplies in and out of the department.

POSITION: PRESHUFFLE PACKAGER

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

Deck inspection: Various functions of inspection including inspecting decks as they are processed, inspecting for manufacturing defects, printing defects, and removal of defective products as necessary.
Shrink Wrap Machine: Ability to operate shrink wrap machine accurately and effectively.
Packaging and Labeling Station: Place product into appropriate packaging then transport to shipping pallets; wrap pallets and move to staging area via pallet jack' create and apply packaging labels.
Production paperwork and communication: Begin training on completing paperwork accurately as necessary and communicating with senior operators, supervisors, managers and support staff when machines need adjustments' accurate completion of the Preshuffle Exit Log; contribute to a positive team environment and work successfully with other team members.
Housekeeping: Maintain Preshuffle department cleanliness by sweeping floor, emptying waste receptacles, placing supplies received in their proper locations, cleaning work surfaces and other housekeeping duties as deemed necessary.
Material Handling: Understands how to safely use and where to properly store material handling equipment: know where to locate WIP and all guidelines in handling, storing and transporting WIP; can safely transport skids of product.

POSITION: ROLLEM OPERATOR

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

Rollem machine operations: Continuous operation of Rollem machine, setting consistent and accurate sheet registration.
Deck inspection: Various functions of inspection including inspecting decks as they are produced, inspecting for material, printing defects, and die-cut defects, removal of defective products as necessary.
Rollem machine maintenance: Make minor repairs to machine including air operated cylinders, sheet cutting machines and boxing machines, making upper block changes while meeting all required tolerances.
Production paperwork: Complete paperwork and log hourly and daily production numbers accurately, consistently and legibly.
Basic catching and deck handling: Understand how to safely catch decks off each assembly lines without effecting quality or damaging the decks; keep up with production of the machine and not cause downtime directly.
Material handling: Stage finished WIP in appropriate areas in organized and appropriate manner, label tub lids with correct information, staging new skids of WIP in correct areas accurately and stage correct job numbers.
Production paperwork: Fill out all production paperwork completely and accurately; follow all procedures as defined in each assembly lines of the production reporting job instructions; know how to fill out the ahead/behind board and does so every hour continually without being asked.
Machine registration: Set registration on the assembly lines automation line within 1/32" tolerance and maintain tolerance throughout the run, properly set sheet angle adjustments, as well as main alignment adjustments according to the assembly line registration job instruction and minimizes spoilage.
Advanced machine troubleshooting: Troubleshoot problems on the assembly machine such as feeder issues, collator issues, PSU adjustments, rail settings, etc. to effectively maintain 100% defect free quality while also meeting efficiency goals; get maintenance involved for more serious issues. Ability to change slitter machine knives.

POSITION: ROLLEM BACKUP OPERATOR

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS
Rollem machine operations: Continuous operation of a Rollem machine, setting consistent and accurate sheet registration.
Deck inspection: Various functions of inspection including inspecting decks as they are produced, inspecting for material, printing defects, and die-cut defects, and removal of defective products as necessary.
Rollem machine maintenance: Make minor repairs to machine including air-operated cylinders, sheet-cutting machines and boxing machines, and making upper block changes while meeting all required tolerances.
Production paperwork: Complete paperwork and log hourly and daily production numbers accurately, consistently and legibly.

POSITION: ROLLEM CATCHER

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

Catch all decks produced by Rollem machine, inspecting the window of each deck for proper order and color.
Continually check for printing, cutting and packaging defects on all decks.
Ensuring tuck boxes are available for all orders as they are in production.
Monitoring machine during operation for any issues, jam-ups or printing issues and notifying the operator immediately if any occur.
Continuously filling the tuck box machine on the automation line, ensuring the machine is constantly watched and always has enough tuck boxes for the completion of the production run.
Completing all paperwork accurately regarding tub tags and securing the tub lids with order numbers and color.
Stacking of completed tubs on a skid accurately and placing the skid in the hopper.
Assisting Operators #1 and #2 as the opportunity arises and production necessitates.
General upkeep of the plant floor Rollem machine area, including sweeping the floors and organizing as necessary.

POSITION: ROLLEM PACKAGER
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

Scandia cello overwrap machine operation: Continuous operation of Scandia overwrap machine, maintaining consistent and accurate production levels; read and understand department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); ability to change cello overwrap roll; ability to change sticker roll; ability to change tear strip roll and string tear strip through rollers for proper setup.
Keyence vision inspection system operation: Proper setup of Keyence vision inspection system, setting up pattern and color search properly and testing system for proper operation using test deck procedure ensuring ejection of defective products as necessary; change the program for each production and color change.
Scandia automated innerpack machine operation: Operate and re-fill auto innerpack machine accurately and effectively ensuring continuous operation; clear out jam-ups and reset the timing of the machine following clear out procedure.
Production paperwork, communication, skid building and inventory reconciliation: Complete paperwork accurately as necessary and communicate with the operators, supervisors, managers and support staff when issues arise or the machine needs repair or adjustments; complete all proper paperwork in the job sacks for material handling records and inventory sheets; label master cartons and input proper label information per Casino specifications and production notes; fill out skid tags and get proper information on each tag utilizing inventory reconciliation noting partial skids from blockhouse and matching up only the production that is needed with previous production stock and signing authorization signature on tag; build skids according to instructions on the job instructions in the jobsack; contribute to the constant improvement of the Rollem automation line considering safety, quality, and efficiency; contribute to a positive team environment and work successfully with other team members.
Other Expectations and Housekeeping: Maintain Rollem automation line cleanliness by sweeping floor, emptying waste receptacles, placing supplies received in their proper locations, cleaning work surfaces and other housekeeping duties as deemed necessary.

**All applicants should possess the following**

EXPERIENCE OPERATING: Sitting forklift. Hand truck. Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ability to use company database system and standard office computer equipment.
Reliable employee that can work independently.
Reads and perform work as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Perform patch, repair and cleaning operations.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and sit for long periods of time.
Required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop and use hands and fingers to grasp and feel.
Required to lift to 5lbs. occasionally, 1 lbs. frequently.
Vision requirements include peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus with frequent computer usage.
Ability to lift, bend and stoop repeatedly during an 8–hour shift.
Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time during an 8-hour shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during an 8–hour shift.
