Acts in a supportive role to the managers as well as the Director. Coordinates and directs the activities of all the daily pre analytical and post analytical operations.
- Oversees and supervises the daily operations of Specimen Processing, Specimen Collection, and Accessioning, under the technical supervision of the Manager to provide high quality, cost effective patient care with a competent staff including hiring, firing, and performance oversight.
- Coach and mentor staff including but not limited to providing guidance and feedback to ensure highest level of patient experience.
- Ensures clean compliant order processing in compliance with regulatory agencies by following established standards. Accurate, timely, and efficient specimen management including receipt, preparation/organizing, labeling, delivery, and documentation within CLIA defined pre-analytic and post-analytic phases of testing.
Travel to area locations required.
Position supports outpatient lab settings
Day shift - no holidays, limited coverage on Saturdays
- Provides coverage to front-line operations to maintain business continuity.
