As a Sales Associate, you will be helping manage channel partner deal flow from the initial request for a proposal through the solution design, pricing, contracting and booking of the channel-enabled deal. You will support several outside Account Executives on the Partner Sales team and are the key to making sure deals move through sales funnel to booking as quickly as possible. The sales team will depend on you to be an expert on the entire sales process including updating SalesForce to trigger work by analysis, pricing, legal, finance and project management. Depending on experience, you may also be responsible for sourcing and managing a limited number of Partner accounts. You will be the critical nexus of each project and will help your people meet their sales goals.
This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Millbrae, CA.
Our ideal candidate will
Work as the main point of contact with several outside Account Executives for all internal deliverables from proposal inception through booking and hand-off to operations.
Take initiative! Anything a sales rep may need to assist in getting a deal done is fair game; researching the client, setting meetings, collecting bills, analyzing bills, preparing presentations, updating salesforce, etc.
Create and manage customized economic models that capture the full scope of the value we are providing our partners on the largest and most strategic deals. This will entail working with clients to understand their business needs and gather inputs from cross functional teams at Stem to build out the client’s business case and proposal.
Become an expert on solution design and be able to address technical questions / objections pertaining to economic modeling, savings analysis, due diligence, new markets, tariffs, pricing, etc.
Manage all aspects of preliminary and final proposal development, including but not limited to coordination, writing, editing, maintenance, and document assembly.
Be able to drive customer meetings, calls and other events on behalf of the Account Executives they support when requested
Deliver training to partner accounts as required
Coordinate with Legal department (contracts, NDAs) for review and input as required
Be proactive and willingly learn how to use and master the tools required to help Partners incorporate energy storage into their market offerings
Communicate project status to appropriate stakeholders as needed and via CRM system for reporting.
Strong desire to become an outside Account Executive in the future
Positive attitude, strong ability to communicate across departments and drive to “get the deal done.”
Highly analytical, with ability to create custom models in MS Excel and work with complex logic.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail a MUST!
Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, with strong project management, organizational and coordination skills.
Ability to strategize, research, and compile necessary data.
Experience in sales, solar, construction, design, or an engineering-related industry a plus.
Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Office Professional, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
Experience with SalesForce a plus
Minimum of 4-5 years of related experience in sales, consulting, finance, or sales engineering ideally within a business to business environment.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
