The Position: The Facilities Coordinator will work closely with the Facilities Specialist to support all facility activities in a clinical setting.The Facilities Coordinator will schedule and perform preventative maintenance, respond to urgent maintenance calls and perform all minor repairs. This role will also utilize internal ticketing system to document performed work. Additionally, under the supervision of the Facilities Specialist, will have oversight for outside contractors in support of the Facilities Department.
Facility maintenance and repairs
Respond to all facility inquiries submitted through work order system, including responding to emergencies impacting daily operations during or off shift
Managing Contractor relationships for maintenance and/or repairs
Coordinate external contractors for scheduled preventative maintenance and coordinate major repairs
Planning for future construction needs
Support security access-control database in conjunction with the Security Coordinator
Prepare and maintain RFP's, bid information, and other contract documents.
Backup for Specialist and other facilities functions (Material management, terminal cleaning of OR suites)
HS Diploma, GED
Minimum 2 years of building and equipment maintenance experience or a technical certification (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical)
Knowledge of general maintenance and maintenance management work order software
Operation of basic hand and power tools
Customer service orientation
Takes accountability for completing assignments, self-motivated.
Ability to follow standard facility process and procedures
Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal communication skills
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft office products
Ability to work a flexible/on call schedule
Trade School/Technical Certification ((plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical)
Building and equipment maintenance experience in a clinical (hospital) environment
Proficient with Building Automation System
The Location: St. Louis, Missouri - Off of Hampton Avenue with easy access to highways 40 and 44, close proximity to Forest Park
