Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist, located at our Goldsboro, NC facility, will provide full cycle human resources support for assigned client groups at our Field Service and Dallas Components divisions of SPX Transformer Solutions. The incumbent will support these businesses through talent planning and development, recruitment and onboarding, strategic business partnership, engagement initiatives, benefits administration and support of processes and policies. This role will also provide day to day support to local Engineering, Sourcing, Finance and Commercial employees.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Planning and Development

Lead talent management process, including creation of succession plans, retention strategies, knowledge transfer plans, and annual people strategy to close talent gaps
Partner with managers and employees to create and fulfill development plans for employees in alignment with the talent management plan
Develop and facilitate HR related training

Recruitment and Onboarding

Participate in recruitment process for open positions, including partnering with managers to scope roles, supporting recruiters, and interviewing
Support onboarding process for new employees
Manage internship program at Waukesha, WI and Goldsboro, NC facilities
Identify and support community outreach initiatives

Business Partnership

Act as business partner to leaders to understand business needs and anticipate and implement human resources solutions that are in alignment with company goals
Provide day to day performance management guidance to employees and management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, investigations)

Engagement

Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Provide exemplary customer service to all SPX employees, ensuring timely and accurately responding to requests, and escalating important issues which arise

Benefit Administration

Assist with benefit plan communication, including annual enrollment meetings, health fairs, and individual employee guidance
Assist with merit planning and salary administration process

Process Administration

Assist HR management in the development, revision, and implementation of streamlined processes, procedures and administrative practices
Conduct termination processes including exit interviews, survey distribution, analysis and follow up and delivery of post termination information to associate
Perform regular and ad hoc reporting on items such as headcount, attrition, turnover, attendance, and performance/development objectives

Computer skills: h ighly proficient in Microsoft applications: Power Point, Excel and Word
Experience with HRM systems

In-depth and current knowledge of Federal and State laws to protect company’s interests by ensuring all legal requirements for equal employment and compliance are met

Ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment

Ability to travel up to 15%

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SUCCESS INDICATORS

Required Education / Experience

Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Human Resources
3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist Experience

Preferred Education / Experience

Experience working in a manufacturing environment
