Founded in 1946, the American String Teachers Association exists to support string and orchestra teachers and players. Our members range from budding student teachers to artist-status performers. We provide teaching resources, a career center, professional education, insurance programs, local and national events, and access to a vibrant and sharing strings community. We are a small vibrant team within walking distance of George Mason University.
ASTA is seeking an organized, motivated student to assist with general office work and administrative tasks for the 2019 ASTA National Conference and other projects as assigned. This opportunity provides first-hand nonprofit association experience in membership services and event management. Build your resume and gain invaluable experience. This internship will start January 2019 and end in June with the Spring semester. *With the potential of carrying on into a summer internship.
Term, Hours and Compensation: Starting in January 2019, the intern will work 15-25 hours per week. Compensation will be $12 per hour.
