About the Role
The Custodian is an integral member of the on-site property management team. They are responsible for maintaining the daily cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and sweeping of vacant and model homes, community areas, including but not limited to offices, community room, hallways, business center, fitness center, laundry rooms and restrooms. This individual will make ready homes for resident move-ins, respond to cleaning service requests as required and inform supervisor of observed resident issues/concerns. Other responsibilities will include but not limited to as assigned
What you'll be doing
Daily cleaning of community areas, including the leasing office, clubhouse, model unit, and outdoor amenity areas.
Preparing vacant units for occupancy, including any necessary clean-out tasks.
Respond to cleaning work orders as required.
Keeping all stair towers, elevators, elevator lobbies, and interior building hallways clean and free of waste.
Performing daily inspections of building exteriors and lighting; reporting any required repairs or issues to the maintenance supervisor in a timely matter.
Assisting in picking up grounds and trash as needed.
Ensuring the successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through response, consistent, positive and professional interactions.
Who We're Looking For
Qualified candidates will have a high school or equivalent. Possession of a valid, state-issued driver s license and safe driving record is also required.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and co-workers.
Ability to respond effectively to changing demands
Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, machinery, equipment, supplies, and office equipment. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, balance, stoop, and kneel. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs.
Typical Work Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside residential properties. May work in a maintenance/machinery environment. Frequently interacts directly with residents, maintenance and office staff.
