We are searching for a Bed Management Coordinator for a full-time, evening shift position on our state-of-the-art Patient Intake (Bed Control) department. The
Bed Management Coordinator uses
clinical expertise and management skills to direct implementation of
administrative throughput plans into efficient quality patient care. The BMC
coordinates the assignment of patient care beds within the hospital using
diagnosis and service line cohorting guidelines so that patient care is not
delayed. The BMC will identify, trend, report, and recommend strategies to
resolve barriers to patient throughput to the Director of Clinical Operations.
The Bed Management Coordinator
coordinates all bed placement and throughput activities. The BMC will also coordinate staffing (in
collaboration with patient care managers and the staffing manager) of the
hospital 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Essential Core Functions:
Provide quality patient care, in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and department.
Maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families and the community.
Prescribes, delegates and coordinates all nursing care provided to assigned patients and is responsible for meeting all standards associated with performance, nursing practice and nursing care.
A graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required - Diploma Program in Nursing (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing).
An active State of Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) License is required
A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
Basic computer skills are required
Previous patient care experience is preferred
3+ years RN required
1+ years of management required
2+ years Charge Nurse preferred
