As part of the Corporate Services team, the Accountant will provide support for department functions with specific responsibility for recording, updating, and reconciling financial information, as well as providing guidance and/or accounting support to other employees in accordance with established policies practices. This task driven individual will be responsible for a variety of functions which include the following:

Perform accurate and timely monthly closing of the financial statements and month-end account reconciliations
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues
Review, audit, and reconcile employee expenses
Fixed asset/inventory management
Process multi-state sales tax returns
Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions
Prepare weekly check runs
Consistently provide recommendations on improving financial operations
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Proficiency with Great Plains (MS Dynamics) software preferred but not required
Experience with Microsoft Office products is required (word, excel, outlook).
Exceptional attention to details and highly developed organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow up, multi task, and get the job done
