The Industrial Power Systems Division currently has an opening for a Sales Support Coordinator located in Seguin, Texas. In this role at Caterpillar, you will be a critical part of our dynamic sales team supporting sales administration: keep key customers account plan updated, price realization system management and price quotation delivered on time. Keep market intelligence updated with competitor’s inputs (prices & products line-up). Responsible for S&OP activities, linking customers and IPSD facilities. Deliver sales reports updated and support account managers with forecast accuracy.

JOB DUTIES :
The Sales Support Coordinator is responsible for reporting on a variety of commercial activities within the region. This role is completed through the facilitation of engine business (Caterpillar, Perkins) through the local distribution network and OEM´s customers.
As this position is classified as a first work assignment within IPSD, the incumbent will receive a substantial amount of guidance and direction from the Regional Sales Manager and other staff personnel in completing projects. The incumbent will learn these skills by working within the various functional areas:
Sales Development - Analyze sales opportunities; develop opportunity comparisons; review regional pricing practices, commercial impact of product development programs, new product information requirements, product and market presentations, and commercial presentations.
Sales Support - Assist management with various sales initiatives. Development and execution of dealer/distributors sales seminars regionally, liaison with Business Development organization on marketing activity requirements/requests from regional sales entities.
The incumbents will participate in activities related to the above functional areas and may be selected for special assignments based on individual performance to gain additional experience. Upon completion of the development phase and subject to an in-depth performance/potential appraisal, the incumbent would be eligible to be considered for a sales representative role.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
Top candidates will also have:
Job related experience in preparing budgets and timely sales proposals
Technical experience to include:
Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, Salesforce, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of NPI Methodology
Both Commercial and Engineering background preferred
