Due to continued growth, our Training Group has a new opportunity for a Curriculum Designer in our Chicago, IL office.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Conduct skills gap assessments
Design detailed educational curriculum, including dates, topics and number of hours required per course
Create engaging training course content (course content, quizzes and activities)
Set learning objectives for each course
Determine evaluation criteria
Organize physical and digital resources for instructors and trainees
Provide manuals and guidelines as necessary on how to use training material
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by following up with instructors and assessing course feedback
Research and recommend educational innovations (e.g. microlearning, gamification, role play, etc.)
Typical Activities for this position include:
Translate our employee training and development needs into engaging educational courses
Select appropriate instructional methods, define time frames and prepare training materials in physical and digital formats
Address organizational skills and knowledge gaps by creating curricula that will educate our employees

Essential skills and experience:
BS degree in Instructional design, Educational Technology or relevant field
Candidates should have experience structuring instructive programs for organizations and must also be familiar with both classroom-style and web-based courses.
Basic HTML /SCORM programming knowledge
Hands-on experience with Learning Management Software (LMS)
Familiarity with instructional design or video editing software
Ability to write clear instructional copy
