Front End Developer – IT (Sitecore – Flying Together)

As a front end developer for Flying Together on the Employee Experience IT Team, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing and supporting our corporate intranet platform, Flying Together, that is powered by the Sitecore CMS platform. The primary focus is to transform the digital experience for our employees by enabling a highly personalized, customizable, feature-rich site that allows employees to quickly find information, communicate and gain quick access to the tools and apps they use on a daily basis. The Developer plays an important role in creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between business needs and technology delivery. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. The Developer is experienced and self - sufficient in performing his/her responsibilities requiring little supervision, but general guidance and direction.

Design, develop and modify software applications/systems according to specifications
Consults with Business Analysts and business partners on potential software solutions for business specifications
Provides support to the software development leads (Senior Developer) during the design portion of the SDLC
Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions
Develop appropriate software documentation as outlined in IDF
Complete comprehensive unit testing on all developed/enhanced software
Works on one or more projects
Works on moderate to complex projects
Demonstrate advance knowledge of SDLC processes, inputs/outputs, standards and best practices
Demonstrate advance knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles
Demonstrate advance knowledge of software engineering best practices such as: versioning and versioning control, software packaging and software release management
Demonstrate advance knowledge of the application of development domain areas and specific technologies and tool set

BS/BA, preferably in a technical or scientific field or equivalent experience, education or training required

Ability to complete all phases of SDLC including analysis, design, development, testing and support utilizing Scrum/Agile methodology.
Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong understanding and demonstrated usage of object-oriented design concepts and modern JavaScript design patterns.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Excellent and clear communication skills while coordinating with other team members, business, and graphic designers.
Strong debugging skills.

Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Bower / Gulp / Nuget
Google Analytics
Mobile development / technologies

4+ years of experience developing web applications for products using ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript technologies and SQL Server Design database schema, developing stored procedures (T-SQL).
2+ years of experience developing with Sitecore 8.x
2+ years of experience in front end UI development for web and mobile responsive web applications

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
