Job Summary

Hardwood molding and stair parts company seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a part-time (~20 hours/week) position to assist in managing day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable, and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain historical records by filing documents
  • Create customer invoices and manage supplier invoices
  • Invoice reconciliation
  • Match purchase orders with invoices
  • Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of QuickBooks experience
  • High School diploma required
  • Must be able to work efficiently with close attention to detail
  • Must be able to perform under pressure
  • Must maintain a positive work attitude and possess good planning skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment
  • Must be able to handle impromptu requests
  • Initiative to accomplish duties with minimal supervision
  • Experience working in accounts payable and receivable,
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
