Job Summary:

Responsible for all materials forecasting, negotiating, sourcing, management, inventory, movement, control and adjustments. Primary focus on inventory accuracy and cost reduction.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to:

  • Be proficient in ERP and estimating software (QuoteWorks and Visual)
  • Manage buyers / purchasing functions
  • Manage filling and shipping parts orders
  • Manage chassis and truck inventory, pick-up and delivery
  • Manage material handlers, shipping receiving clerks, warehouse staff, chassis coordinator
  • Develop, track, communicate and drive improvement in materials metrics
  • Responsible for physical inventory management –
  • Part location and labeling in plant
  • Warehouse location management
  • Fiscal physical count
  • Any other counts, full or cycle, other than fiscal
  • Shipping and receiving
  • Control of material issue to BoM
  • Co-ordinate with Controller on inventory issues and activities
  • Co-ordinate with Buyers on material delivery and receipt
  • Work with engineering and purchasing when needed for non-standard material sourcing
  • Track commodity prices and work with sales management to recommend pricing adjustments
  • Support capital project management and negotiating
  • Performs all duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years experience in supply chain functions
  • Minimum three years managing in a manufacturing company
  • Prefer a degree in Business or Technical subject
