While working at a running store, Altra Founders Golden Harper and Brian Beckstead were frustrated that modern running shoe technology caused poor running form and had not decreased running injuries. Their passion to create a shoe that followed the science produced Altra’s FootShapeTM toe box and Zero DropTM platform. Since its founding in 2011, Harper and Beckstead have grown Altra from one to 25 shoe styles, winning multiple Editor’s Choice awards and distribution in more than 60 countries.
This alternative and creative approach to footwear attracts outside the box thinkers and athletes from both customers and employees alike. What started in a basement 7 years ago has grown and expanded to an entire footwear revolution.
By joining the Altra family you will be part of a movement. A movement that is personified throughout our talented and diverse workforce. We are looking for employees with high integrity, an aggressive work load capability, and passion to promote this unique and authentic brand. We push the limit of what healthy athletic footwear and apparel is by being at the forefront of our industry in creativity and functional movement. These same employees can be found regularly running ultra races, biking to work, hiking in our beautiful mountains and many other outdoor or athletic pursuits.
