The Rehabilitation Technician maintains and supports the clinic environment in a manner conducive to delivering safe, efficient, and quality patient care. The Rehabilitation Technician must have the ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments.
Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, the Rehabilitation Technician will be responsible for:

Patient care, support, and guidance

Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers.

Proper set up and adjustment of exercise equipment.

Assist with set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs, etc.)

Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises.

Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.

Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider.

Clinic flow

Monitor patient arrivals to department.

Start patients on time for scheduled appointments/keep patients apprised of any clinician delays.

Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment.

Order all supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager.

Front end tasks
-
Perform necessary front-end tasks including but not limited to check-in, co-pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments.

Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits.

Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed).
Qualifications:
- CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care)

High School Diploma
-
Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations.

Understand principles, as well as contraindications/precautions in the use of therapy modalities.

Can identify proper patient set-up on each piece of equipment with the ability to adjust.

Identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning.

Team-oriented.
