S. Lichtenberg & Co., Inc. is a family-owned Home Textile wholesaler. For more than 80 years, we have been supplying retail with quality soft window products.

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Management Trainee to support our Finance, Operations and E-commerce departments. This requires attention to detail, excellent computer skills and some familiarity with e-commerce platforms/business. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborates closely with other managers and executives.

The individual must be a team player and willing to assist and perform tasks in other areas of the business as needed, particularly due to seasonal business trends.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive training and perform duties in several departments such as Finance, Operations and E-Commerce
  • Learn functions, operations, management viewpoints and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business
  • Observe experienced associates to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for performance of departmental duties
  • Receive training in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and to provide greater promotional opportunities

Operations Department:

  • Work with Sales and Merchandising Departments to provide support and manage multiple aspects of product development process
  • Retail Partner Item Setup: Spearhead new item setup, execution, and follow-through on retail and partner websites
  • Ensure optimal quality and consistency of product listings on retail and e-tail partner websites
  • Upload and maintain items in GXS and Intertrade catalogues
  • Setup items in internal style master

E-Commerce Department:

  • Review product pages on retail partner websites
  • Ensure item descriptions, imagery, etc., are loaded properly on retail partner websites
  • Manage consistency across all customers
  • Read customer reviews and bring attention to any product issues noted

Finance Department:

  • Work with Accounts Receivable Department to upload information to customer portals as part of processing chargeback disputes
  • Assist in analysis and resolution of customer chargebacks
  • Provide task and project support as needed, in all areas of the business
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable in a team environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to work with efficiency and focus in a friendly, fast moving environment

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • College degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications
  • Entry level to 2 years work experience
  • Tech savvy, strong experience in MS Excel
  • Interest in the home furnishings business

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
