The Media Relations Specialist's role is to effectively market services, improve media presence and ultimately, gain clientele and increase revenue.

This includes:

-Preparing, editing and updating all content for internal and external publication, including newsletters, blogs, press releases and articles. This will also include reading and researching local, national and international pet news on a daily basis.

-Establishing a strong social media presence via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. This will include updates several times per day, including weekends. When not in the office, content will be scheduled ahead of time to appear on these sites. At times you will add additional content during weekend hours as needed.

-Create email promotional and awareness campaigns using Mailchimp and our CRM software.

-Acting as the public relations representative for the hospital. This includes pitching ideas to external media sources (broadcast, online and print) and responding to all press or media inquiries from these sources or the public.

-Working closely with the management team to create a strong online presence through branding and analytics.

-Establishing and maintaining relationships with all related community, consumer and public interest contacts. Includes fundraising for our local dog focused charity.

-Arranging events, promotions and contests for clients to increase awareness about our services as well as to promote ourselves within the community.

-Consulting with community, consumer and public interest organizations or individuals to arrange promotional campaigns across all types of media.

-Researching events, sponsorship and advertising opportunities as needed to promote services. This will also include overseeing the progress of all advertising campaigns and monitoring all business reviews.

-Website maintenance, including updates and enrichment to content for SEO.

-Video production, includes training tutorials, promotional and fun client focused videos for use on You Tube, social media and website.

-Responsible for staying up on latest social media changes, implementing ways to leverage platform updates.

-Responsible to promote organize, manage and handle all internal celebrations and events.

This position allows for both in facility as well as remote work opportunities.

Approximately 25-30 hours per week.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $23.00 to $25.00 /hour
