Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Provide direct care in accordance with care plans
- Provides for residents Activities of Daily Living (ADL) including personal hygiene, elimination, comfort and safety, ambulation, lifting, skin care, nutrition, and hydration.
- Maintains resident's rooms, work areas/equipment in a clean, sanitary and safe manner and follows established infection control/standard precautions, reporting all hazardous conditions to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Reports all concerns and complaints voiced or shared by residents, or family members.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition and make independent decisions when warranted.
- Follow work assignments, and/or work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.
- Accompany residents, as needed to various activity and functions.
What we're looking for:
- High school degree or equivalent
- State Of Ohio STNA (License must populate on the STNA Registry)
- One year of STNA experience
- Strong written, communication and customer service skills are essential as well as knowledge of PCC.
- Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
- Must demonstrate dependable and regular attendance.
- Must attend a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education programs in order to maintain certification.
- Must attend all-employee and departmental meetings and in-service training as scheduled or directed.
- Must possess the ability to manage resident behaviors by redirection and/or activity-based interventions. Must also be able to deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, governmental agencies, and the general public.
