The Data Analysis and Information Management Paralegal will be essential to the proper functioning of the Legal Department and all company activities having a legal component. The primary duty of the position is to conduct data analysis and assist lawyers in the preparation, administration, and the management of the defense or prosecution of, class action, patent, product liability, personal injury, and insurance litigation and the handling of projects and related transactions.
More specific examples of responsibilities of the Data Analysis & Information Management Paralegal involve significant data analysis, overseeing and coordinating discovery in litigation and large projects in conjunction with the lawyers, as well as coordinating witness appearances, conducting legal research, and organizing case information. The person in this position shall also be responsible for collaborating with BMW Group lawyers and other AJ-NA staff members regardless of location as needed.
The person in this position must be detailed oriented, organized, have strong analytical and written skills, be experienced with formulating data queries in Excel or other applications for efficient problem solutions, be able to manage multiple priorities, utilize a matter management database effectively, handle all necessary accounting/payment matters, proactively communicate within and outside the Legal Department, be client and service oriented, and produce a high quality work product.
The Paralegal position is a Non-Exempt Salaried position located in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey and reports to Corporate Counsel.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-3 years Data Analysis experience is required
- Administration of litigation support, is preferred, but not required
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Possible small amount of travel
