The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join its Accounting team.
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with the operations of the organization’s financial processes, including collections, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This position requires great attention to detail, flexibility and thoughtful communication.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Assist the accounting team with administrative tasks, such as data entry and report generation, with a focus on accuracy
Obtain information necessary to resolve unusual problems by communicating with internal and external individuals to obtain or supply information, while employing customer service excellence and consistency
Assist with the organization’s collections efforts; associated tasks include data entry, preparing and sending invoices, interacting with customers and members to resolve outstanding invoices, sending invoice reminders and accurately applying payments
Assist with the organization’s accounts payable
Additional duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with QuickBooks a plus
