The Scheduling Secretary under the supervision of and the Director of Professional Development and Vice President of Operations/Chief Nursing Officer performs services in a designated area according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and hospital. Works cooperatively within department and other services to create a system of quality healthcare.
Performs clerical duties related to scheduling and daily staffing of nursing units. Maintains ANSOS and performs general secretarial duties as assigned.
Maintains the integrity of the scheduling and payroll system.
Enters and updates information into ANSOS/ADP.
Processes necessary staffing changes after review and direction of Clinical Manager or Nursing Administration Representative.
Collects daily and interval data in order to create reports, statistics and data reports on request.
Prints and distributes daily worksheets, schedules and other management reports.
Ensures that nursing licenses are current and maintains a verification (hard copy) form as well as file on computer.
Prepares and sends to Clinical Manager monthly notices for verification of license renewal.
Maintains employee education Files in ANSOS and runs reports as requested.
Effectively communicates staffing problems to the appropriate person.
Receives and communicates staffing assistance to employee or agencies including sick or absent calls to nursing units.
Assists Administrative Coordinator with staffing and scheduling issues.
This position requires a high school diploma/GED.
