The Director of IT Operations is a key leadership role in the growing Powdr Technology team. The director, through their team of IT leaders, will oversee day-to-day IT operations at each Powdr business unit (this includes Copper Mountain, Killington, Mount Bachelor, the Woodward camps, and others.) Besides providing leadership and mentoring, the director will be responsible for the hardware and helpdesk roadmaps for all of Powdr. The successful candidate will have many years of experience leading technology teams, a modern view of IT management that includes a focus on centralization and cloud, and the ability to develop and execute complex technology roadmaps.

Ability to manage contracts, statements of work, and onboarding and offboarding outside vendors
Experience with DevOps principles, automation, infrastructure-as-code
History of putting in place best practices for IT teams
Experience with managing databases, SANs, and Windows/Linux servers in a commercial environment-including disaster recovery, monitoring and alerting, and updates
Experience managing Point of Sale installations including servers, machines, and associated hardware
Knowledge and experience with lean or other agile processes
Experience managing Office 365, Active Directory, and other Microsoft technologies
Ability to understand customer concerns and translate those concerns into actionable requirements
Ability to communicate and champion a roadmap effectively to customers, stakeholders, and executives
Prefer experience with cloud tools and methodologies (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Experience in the outdoor industry preferred
At least 5 years experience in an IT management or related role
