The Director of “The Grande” at Sterling Estates will have a unique and exciting opportunity to lead the staff and serve our residents in our state-of-the-art Memory Care Community of West Cobb. We are looking for someone who is passionate about caring for Seniors, who can inspire others, provide leadership and loves to teach and learn. The successful candidate will take pride in his or her work and know the importance of working hard and having fun. You will report to Deana Harris, the Executive Director of Sterling Estates of West Cobb Senior Living but you will have the independence and autonomy to lead the staff in The Grande. The Grande at Sterling Estates has teamed with the Center of Excellence and Dr. John Zeisel of the Hearthstone Institute who wrote the book, I’m Still Here.

You will be responsible for supporting the team to create and lead focused and purpose-driven activities, provide meaningful social interactions, and helping each resident feel a sense of belonging to the community. In addition, your experience will be used to train and support all staff members to be successful in their roles. You will work with keeping The Grande on budget, helping with hiring and manage all department heads. You will assist the Sales/Marketing team with initial discovery of potential residents and sharing all that our community has to offer. The role must be on call at all times.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Produce and distribute weekly census/staffing report
  • Review/approve all staff timesheets before submitting to Payroll.
  • Maintain records of petty cash funds
  • Manage office and housekeeping supplies
  • Responsible for monthly spenddowns
  • Review monthly resident invoices
  • Approve all vendor invoices before forwarding to accounting for payment
  • Manage and coordinate new resident move-ins
  • Ensure residences is prepared for a tour, facilitate a successful tour and successfully close tours.
  • Manage disciplinary and plans of correction for all team members.

Candidate must have a RN or LPN license. Preference will be given to those who have had specific Sales/Marketing experience in a Memory Care community and have worked directly with memory care residents.
