Edgewater is currently seeking an Information Security Engineer with DISA STIGS experience to support our federal customer in the Washington DC area.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong experience with Linux/RedHat /Ansible/Docker/Kubernetes (a strong generalist with good overlap abilities)
Abilities to understand logs (VAR, SYSLOG, AUDIT, etc.)
Solid Cisco FW, Cisco Prime, Cisco switch/router knowledge and/or experience
A technical ethical hacker type background and somebody who loves technology is a plus.
Responsible for the remediation of security findings across multiple architectures in the IT system.
The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of DoD compliance requirements, including RMF, 800-53, STIG and other focus areas.
Experience must be hands on, technical work, while also being able to document configurations.
Experience with PKI and secure communication preferred.
Responsible for the implementation and development of the IT security.
Performs risk analyses which also includes risk assessment.
Provides support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization's information security.
Security + certificate or equivalent required and additional CISSP, CEH, or CAP preferred.
At least 5 years working in cyber security
At least 2 years working with DISA STIGS
Must be a United States Citizen
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in cyber security, IT, or other related field.
