Our growing company receives an average of 500 full truckloads and 50 LTLs on a monthly basis. The Logistics Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating and tracking all supply while obtaining the most aggressive cost reductions possible. This position requires a high degree of organizational skills and exceptional communication abilities.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate with trucking companies for both FTL and LTL all export and supply loads into the warehouses
  • Track and follow through on every load
  • Serve as a liaison between the supplier, carrier, and warehouse
  • Communicate times to Warehouse Operations Management Staff and Account Managers
  • Quickly and proactively resolve problems that may develop while a load is in transit
  • Aggressively and continually negotiate for the best tracking and shipping rates possible
  • Maintain electronic records of all communication and rate information
  • Keep Account Managers informed on current trucking and shipping sources
  • Accurately enter correct rate/quote for each shipment and maintains up-to-date information into system programs
  • Manage & audit invoice processing
  • Oversee and grow our FTL & LTL freight network
  • Accurately handle all documents associated with international shipments
  • Hold freight partners to a high level of service, support and troubleshoot all UPS accounts
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 2 – 5 years of previous logistics experience in transportation or inventory management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Solid work ethic, energetic, and ability to pick things up quickly
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft office applications

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in a related field (Business, Logistics, or Engineering)
  • 2 years minimum experience in related industry
  • Previous TMS (Transportation Management System) experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Logistics or Engineering)
  • 4 – 5 years’ experience in related industry
  • Experience in the use and application of the most current technologies and products used in the industry
