Clinical Data Repository (CDR) is IQVIA’s next-gen clinical data analytics and data engineering platform that supports whole range of new data products with the help of cutting-edge data, analytics and machine learning driven innovations. CDR is envisioned to be a product that will solve data integration, data interoperability, self-serve data discovery and experimentation and machine learning driven automation challenges in Pharmaceutical industry
Product Implementation Lead is a technology leadership role which will run various product design engineering team, will provide tech leadership, design leadership to engineers and will make sure that capabilities are built based on time, are modular and can be extended to enable new product features. Reporting to Product strategy lead for Clinical data repository, this role will have significant opportunities to demonstrate their technology skills to help CDR team build an industry leading data product.
Engineering leadership 60% -“Product Implementation Lead – CDR” would be responsible to oversee the actual design and implementation of the product. PIL will act as a technology and design lead and will use product roadmap as a guiding artefact to lead product design efforts that aligns with product roadmap, strategy and customer needs. Product Implementation Lead will work very closely with product architects, engineering leads, other tech leads, product managers and integration lead to ensure that product is being designed based on industry best practices, is modular and can support current & future needs of our customers.
Vision 10%- “Product Implementation Lead – CDR” Will be playing a critical contributing role to help Product manager and product leadership craft future vision for CDR-OMS product. Their contribution to technology vision, which will enable business vision will be critical for product’s future success.
Relationship management 20% - “Product implementation Lead – CDR” will be focused on establishing and nurturing strong relationship with Engineers, engineering leads, architects and product management leaders within the organization
Innovation and thought leadership 10% - “Product Implementation Lead – CDR” will also bring in a new perspective from technology and product design perspective and will share their ideas with product managers, leadership and architects. Accept full accountability and ownership of CDR product implementation, design and built out.
Establish a strong understanding of product strategy and roadmap in working with Product management lead and contribute to roadmap from technology enable capabilities standpoint
Responsible for providing technology leadership to engineering team to ensure product gets built based on defined specs and industry best practices in a timely fashion
Responsible for working with marketing, pre-sales and solution implementation leads. Setting up labs, demos and soliciting feature and technology feedback.
Work with Scrum masters, project managers and engineering leads to help articulate sprint scope in the context of product roadmap and help move ball forward in an agile, fast and collaborative fashion.
Act as a technology SME and educate internal and in many cases external users about product capabilities, best practices in technology and software engineering management
Responsible to ensure product is built in a modular, configurable and in a service focused way.
Oversee design, engineering, testing and product release. Provide technology leadership in terms of making a feature release decision and provide hands on leadership to resolve post release issues.
Ownership of collecting and help analyzing product KPIs. PIL will work very closely with Product management lead to achieve this goal
Work with Product manager to plan future releases, new minimum viable products and manage GA roll out of product features
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experienced with modern software design methods like Agile.
5+ years of experience with Modern data engineering concepts and principles
3+ years of experience with AWS and cloud native and hybrid cloud application design
Strong understanding of Cloudera Eco-system
3+ years of experience with modern data engineering languages like Apache Spark, HIVEQL, Scala, Python and Java
2 years of experience distributed messaging technologies like Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis and similar
2-3 years’ experience designing and building micro-service-based data frameworks, products and pipelines
Understanding of ingestion, storage and data modelling concepts in Big data eco- system
Good understanding of container technologies like Dockers and Container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes
3 years of experience working with Data lakes (Hadoop, S3)
Awareness of general machine learning specific data and feature engineering concepts
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline and minimum 6 years of experience working as a senior data engineer or data engineering lead; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Would be Nice, if you also have:
Knowledge with data quality frameworks, methodologies and technologies
Knowledge in Master data management processes, trends and technologies like Informatica MDM
High level understands of data enabled APIs and its impact on modern data eco-system
Basic understanding of Self-Serve Data wrangling and analysis concepts
Knowledge of clinical data used for clinical drug development.
Experience with the clinical drug development industry, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Knowledge of HL7, EHR/EMR standards, CDISC ODM, SDTM, CDASH or ADAM standards a huge plus.
Knowledge of data governance processes and concepts such as business glossary, data catalogs, metadata management and data dictionaries
Familiarity with Quality Center, Agile methodologies a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Great stakeholder management, collaborative skills and a pro-active mindset
