As a Starbucks Decision Scientist, you will partner with stakeholders across one or more of the following domains: 1) In the Shared Services & Business Transformation (SS & BT) organization, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand why customers contact Starbucks & how we can improve customer experiences. 2) In the Store Development, Market Planning & Public Affairs organization, you will partner with the business teams to learn how to continuously evolve our stores to match customer needs in the post-COVID era and evaluating customers’ response & social impact of public communications. 3) In the Digital organization, you will collaborate with product managers and the digital customer experiences teams to enhance our understanding of digital customer journeys, and how might we continue to improve that experience.
You will provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in designing and recommending appropriate analytics approaches to enhance existing data & to boost innovations in customer retail experiences.
Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:
Collaborate with business partners to define key business priorities and co-craft strategy based on market research and existing data solutions coming from the larger Analytics & Insights organization.
Evaluate unstructured strategic questions from business teams and define roadmap for potential data solutions working cross-functionally across Analytics & Insights
Advocate for and influence adoption of analytics data products & insights across business teams where recommendations & conclusions are appropriately contextualized
Utilize systems thinking approach to influence building of evergreen data products that are adaptable
Establish key performance indicators for the business team and promote data driven decision making that allows for effective planning in stakeholder teams
We’d love to hear from people with:
Demonstrated experience with analytical methods, business process analysis & analytics enablement
High proficiency in developing key metrics for driving & maintaining healthy business performance
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to influence leadership teams at different levels
Excellent communication & presentation skills
Working knowledge of data systems design & data technologies
Knowledge of statistical principles
