Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections of electrical components and products at various stages of production.
- Perform electrical tests and measurements to verify product functionality and compliance to applicable specifications, procedures, BOMs, and drawings.
- Provide equipment startup, system commissioning, and customer technical training.
- Perform on-site inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and testing.
- Ability to do switch from internal Test/QC to Field Service work on-site as required by the job. This can run into multiple days or more of being away at a particular site and/or traveling.
- Document test results and maintain detailed records of quality control processes. Detailed and neat records are a MUST.
- Communicate with the customer and Cordyne personnel for work status, progress reports, and scheduling/planning tasks.
- Identify and report defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal Cordyne teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and improvement of quality control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and safety policies.
- Perform FAT testing with the customer at Cordyne or on-site, including the required documentation.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electronics. The experience MUST be heavily comprised of hands-on work. Specific areas or required experience include the following:
o Full working knowledge and application of formulas such as Ohm’s Law and Watts Law, and how they are applied to single and three phase circuits.
o Ability to demonstrate knowledge of common industrial circuits such as rectifiers, contactor seal-in circuit, etc.
o Understanding and working within true OEM practices and processes, which includes material flow managed in a Hybrid MRP materials management system.
o Able to work in a full spectrum manufacturing environment that includes single specially designed one-off products on up to repeated medium volume industry manufacturing.
o Have a thorough understanding of
o Quality Control at Incoming, In-Process, Final Inspection, and Field Assessments
o Live Electrical Testing (Meggar, Hi-Pot, Control Power, Main Power)
o Industrial Low Voltage experience a MUST, Medium Voltage experience a plus
o Detailed internal & on-Site troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, & repair
o Product installation and startup in the field, which may include customer training.
o Must be able to speak, understand, write, and read in English. Multilingual is a hug plus. It is imperative that this position can communicate with suppliers and customers in sometimes sensitive business discussions.
o Product Setup/Commissioning, Parameter Setting, and Operation

- Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Industrial Electronics and Controls such as VFDs, Control Panels, MCC's, Motor Starters, and PLCs.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and regulations in the electrical industry.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Junior College Degree or Related Trade School Diploma/Certification
