Database Administrator/Senior Developer (SQL)

The Database Administrator/Senior Developer/ SQL subject matter expert will work closely with our Technical Project Manager to deliver exceptional results for end-to-end client requests through use of the following:
*Developing and maintaining structured process and methodology documents for client requests and data dictionaries regarding key data sets.
*Developing SQL code, increasing SQL code efficiency of the team and minimizing errors.
*Performing extensive data pulls and creating datasets for business users to enable client to build self-serving reports and dashboards.
*Developing and maintaining IT governance for development processes. The DBA will advise on data governance processes, master data management and data stewardship.
*Leveraging SSIS to extract data from third party sources.
*Developing, maintaining and revising existing stored procedures.
*Monitoring database and pipeline refreshes; maintaining a deployment checklist to ensure compliance.
*Facilitating regular knowledge transfer sessions on ‘best practice’ SQL development with offshore teams and providing guidelines and documentations for offshore development.
*Establishing and maintaining incident procedures and leading troubleshooting efforts.
*Other duties as required.

Job Requirements:
***5-8 years of experience with SQL, PowerShell, and R Scripting, SSRS, PowerBI, Power Apps/Azure or related; deep knowledge of data set creation and data modeling.
***Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, Machine Learning, Statistics or related. Agile SDLC methodologies. Must be able to meet project milestones and delivery dates. Effective planning skills a must to manage multiple priorities and assignments.
Java, Python, XML and JSON a plus. Experience in ITIL preferred. Machine Learning, RPA and AI desired.
