Each Year, HPE spends about $4 Billion globally on various products & services that we use to keep our company running successfully. GP Internship Job Description
Our program is designed to mentor and develop talented individuals with strong leadership potential and strategic thinking capability. We are looking for energetic, highly motivated individuals who are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s level (or equivalent) degree. GP wants people who can bring innovative ideas and fresh perspectives into our organization as we move toward creating the 2020 workplace. Well-rounded business acumen and global orientation are critical in GP.
The GP Internship is a 10-week project-based assignment that may include:
Working across HPE businesses and functional organizations (Marketing, Sales, HR, Finance, etc.) as a trusted advisor/consultant
Core procurement category management skills (data intelligence, market analysis, stakeholder management, negotiation plans, supplier evaluations & interaction, contracts, implementation)
Developing Leadership & Influencing skills
Develop network across peers, managers, senior leadership and executives
Efficiency gains through process improvement projects & execution
Working knowledge of HPE, and its business objectives
Project Management, Communication & Presentation skills
Social & Volunteer events with other Plano Interns
Opportunity for end of summer project report out to GP Vice-President & Senior Leadership
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong leadership, influencing, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong project management abilities
Geographic, cultural knowledge, and/or experience
Self-starter with ability to manage work in multiple areas and within a virtual work environment
Ability to develop and promote positive change through innovation and creativity
