Nestlé Purina is expanding! Introducing Nestlé Purina’s newest factory in the U.S. – in Hartwell, Georgia – just shy of 110 miles northeast of Atlanta. We’re opening a state of the art distribution center in 2018 and production facility in 2019 – our first new factory in over 20 years! We’re thrilled to be joining the Hartwell, GA community and to welcome as many as 240 new members to the Nestlé Purina family by 2023. With more than 100 acres, this 500,000 square foot facility will serve as our most versatile facility with the ability to switch product lines faster and more efficiently than we have ever done before; all while distributing the Nestlé Purina brands our customers trust and pets love!
As a Project Engineer (Project Controller) your primary role will be to coordinate all engineering projects at our new and growing facility. You will be responsible for managing contracts, budgeting, cost reporting, validating change of scope, and managing invoicing throughout the project development and completion process. You experience will offer you the opportunity to suggest and manage changes and find efficiencies across our multiple ongoing projects. As your position grows, you will also be leading smaller engineering projects across the facility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Plan, monitor, control, and report on project cost/schedule/scope
Analyze, prepare, validate, and maintain cost estimates, budgets, and cost variance reports.
Develop project budgets
Oversee project spend, commitments, and forecasts
Address budget concerns with management and customers and implement cost controls
Develop corrective actions to address cost variance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university
Project Engineer I
2 or more years of Project Engineering or Project Management experience working on engineering projects
Project Engineer II
5 or more years of Project Engineering or Project Management experience working on engineering projects
Project Engineer III
8 or more years of Project Engineering or Project Management experience working on engineering projects
Experience working in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries preferred
