PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Perform various operations within the dialyzer department to maximize dialyzer quality and machine production. Insure conformity of product to established standards, specifications and drawings, through the use of precision measuring equipment, tests and visual standards. Maintain all process specifications and document parameters according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
Maintain current General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards and operating procedures throughout the shift.
Operate the following machines: Housing Loading, Vision Systems, Capper machine, collar machine, fiber insertion machine, Pre-dry carousel, polyurethane potting carousel, cure belt, polyurethane cutting cell, auto flange and torque machine, conditioning carousels, product labeler, Blood Port cap machine, pre-package machine, case labeler, case taper, check weigher, and pallet wrapper.
Perform the following inspections: Fiber inspection, Polyurethane potting and cutting quality inspection, Final dialyzer quality inspection, Product label quality inspection.
Perform the following manual operations as required: Open and position material for the assembly line, Load material onto the conveyor, Manually assemble BP caps as needed, Label product cases, Fill cases with dialyzers and insert sheet, Pallet stacking, wrapping and banding, and appropriately substitute when machines are not operational.
General maintenance in the dialyzer area.
Cleaning of area and equipment.
Batch Production Record (BPR) control.
Notify the production supervisor/technical specialist of any defects, disruptions, deviations or any other unusual circumstances.
Maintain general housekeeping of working area and plant.
Follow all Fresenius Policies.
Regular attendance and maintaining a good attendance record is an essential function of the job.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

EDUCATION:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence legibly. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
