Betabrand is a fast growth, venture-backed apparel startup based in San Francisco. We crowdsource design ideas and crowdfund them to life. And now, we’re seeking a copywriter to handle a whole lot of editorial tasks.

Our copywriter will work with Betabrand’s creative and ecommerce teams to produce/publish content for our website, email campaigns, social media, and so on. This intrepid soul will play a key role in our sales and marketing efforts as they work to ensure that content is lively, entertaining, informative, and on brand.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • At least two years of copywriting (or comparable) experience at an agency or as an in-house writer. Candidates with significant online-media experience will also be considered.
  • STRONG editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with email/site content-management tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Sailthru, Magento) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. At Betabrand, new products go online every day, so we’ll always need you to work fast.
  • Ability to work well both independently and with a team.
  • Creativity and a sense of humor. Beyond writing, you will be brainstorming new ideas every day: marketing initiatives, product names, product designs, silly billboards, and more!
  • Experience in the fashion/apparel industry? It’s not required, but it certainly won’t hurt your chances.
