The company plans a major expansion, which includes an upcoming move to larger local space to set-up a new HQ, needed from the recent merger with another leader in their same industry. They are seeking to find both a staff level and a senior level A/P professional who will help in the build-out of their department.
The Senior role will entail more responsibilities, especially with directing and supervising staff, but responsibilities will also include:
- hands-on activities and operations in the accounts payable function for the organization - analysing invoices and expense reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment
- ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers
- maintain accurate financial records and control reports
- prepare accounts payable register and related reports timeously
You will also find your skills being brought to the next level as you contribute to the development of processes and procedures within the company. Minimally 3 years of experience in an A/P area as an individual contributor would be advantageous for the roles.
Both positions ideally seek individuals with a degree from a college or a technical school and hold related A/P accounting experience, who are proficient in MS Office and Excel, and who possess strong customer service skills and a keen attention to detail.
