Facilities Manager EH&S
We are looking for someone to manage our facilities and environmental, health and safety program as we grow and expand our facility.

Core Responsibilities:
Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities infrastructure

Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs

Reviews and approves expenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, materials and additional contract requirements and responsible for managing the facilities/EHS budget

Maintains all infrastructure and compliance documentation including up-to-date building drawings and specifications.

Maintains and develops facilities services and instrument services SOPs within established ISO, EPA, OSHA, Fire Dept., Uniform Building, electrical codes

Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce equipment downtime and for energy efficiency programs to reduce operational costs

Manages janitorial cleaning program including buildings and grounds

Manages building security, including assigning/terminating card keys, maintaining holiday schedules, and building security schedules as necessary

Manages and plans resources for daily and long-range activities for assigned projects.

Manages the development, planning and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs

Monitors performance of EHS programs and regulatory compliance with regulations, and handles all contact with the appropriate government agencies

Develops EHS policies and procedures (chemical safety, ergonomics, illness and injury prevention and contractor safety), including those pertaining to hazardous materials and work areas

Monitors and evaluates EHS concerns including physical, chemical hazard

Oversees compliance training and inspects lab and plant areas to ensure compliance with world class industry EHS standards and practices

Performs safety training and ergonomic evaluations

Administers workers compensation and return-to-work program

Performs safety inspections, investigates incident reports and recommends appropriate changes utilizing root cause techniques

Leads emergency response team and occupational safety and health inspections

Understands federal and state occupational safety and health regulations and monitors regulatory changes as they occur.

Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements.

Coordinates OSHA training for employees, new and existing

Develops annual company safety and health goals.

Manages and coordinates hazardous waste disposal and maintains proper records.

Advises manufacturing plants and corporate staff of regulatory changes with which the plants must comply. Sufficient advance notice should be provided so that compliance on the effective date of new regulations is ensured.

Audits practices and records of manufacturing plants to ensure compliance with company programs and federal/state occupational safety and health regulations.

Reviews plant safety committee meeting minutes and safety inspection reports and follows up as necessary.

Reviews injury/illness and non-injury incident investigation reports and follows up as necessary.

Establishes process performance metrics; tracking, analyzing, and reporting performance in terms of quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction

Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Requirements

Essential Experience

4 Year College Degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in chemistry or related discipline

Minimum of 4 to 6 years facilities management experience, including responsibility for EHS program

Experience managing operations in production operations and lab

Certified electrician

Desirable Experience

Construction experience is a plus

International experience a plus

Essential Skills

Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations

Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely in presenting ideas and concepts both in verbal and written form, including preparation of legible and accurate reports.

Flexibility and ability to cope with several tasks simultaneously
