GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is open until filled, with first review of applications on 11/13/2018.
Two (2) part-time, non-benefited positions are available.

Typical schedule example:
1 - 2 days per week, Monday through Saturday
4 hour shifts available Monday - Friday from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Saturdays from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Scope of Work:
To perform front desk reception duties at the Spartan Recreation Center.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Provide customer service to facility patrons, in person or on the phone.
Work with registration software to create new accounts.
Answer telephone, take registrations, handle cash and point of sale.
Process department liability forms, scholarship requests and other paperwork as needed.
Interact with diverse populations of all ages in a friendly and supportive manner.
Issue monthly passes and punch cards.
Assist program instructors, provide administrative support for recreation programs.
Closely monitor the use of the facility, maintain facility safety procedures, report injuries and safety hazards.
Respond to medical emergencies and incidents.
Open and close the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years old.
Current First Aid/CPR certification is required, on-site training will be provided for those who are not currently certified.
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing State/Federal pre-employment background checks.
Minimum of one year of front desk or office experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Prior cash handling experience.
Prior customer service experience.
Prior experience working in a high volume environment.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to keep calm and handle emergency situations.
Strong oral communication skills with an enthusiastic and friendly personality.
Skills in use of Word and Excel computer programs and office equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
Work is performed in reception environment in a recreational facility with constant interaction with public. The position is subject to extensive eyestrain and PC monitor.

Physical Conditions
Sitting for prolonged periods of time, frequent walking and standing. Moderate lifting and bending.
