Position Summary

Prepare reports and analyze data in order to define the overall customer sales, marketing and pricing strategies in collaboration with Sales and Marketing management.

Job Functions

  • Use internal and external business intelligence tools to analyze pricing data
  • Build and maintain pricing strategies in collaboration with Sales and Marketing management
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly pricing updates for Foodservice accounts using Urner Barry and internally generated sales reports
  • Generate, analyze and track Retail channel promotional spend reports to determine effectiveness of spend
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute all reporting information including but not limited to, Executive Management reports, Brand Rank and UPC rank reports, New Item and Discontinued Item reports, and reports requested from Sales for customer business reviews and sales presentations
  • Partner with Sales to understand their reporting needs and in interpreting report data forecasting

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, or Marketing required
  • Proficient in a wide range of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments
  • Exceptional ability to extract strategic insights from large data sets
  • Knowledge of marketing data industry tools such as IRI; Technomic; ShelvSpace; Trade planning software
  • Detail oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing
  • Proven ability to make recommendations for solutions based on information gathered and analyzed from existing systems and/or imperfect information
  • Able to work independently, but also collaborate well with other departments
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Business Objects and ERP systems; proficiency with Data Analysis, Pivot tables, and complex graphs
  • Ability to build professional relationships with cross functional teams while facilitating a collaborative environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in retail, analysis, and/or pricing

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
