Axis’ Finance and Operations team is searching for an Accounting Manager. Responsibilities focus on establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Developing and maintaining planning and budgeting systems, analysis and interpretation of trends requiring senior management’s attention, the preparation of managerial reports and procedures, and the presentation of findings and recommendations.

What You’ll Do Here…
Manages the overall accounting functions and staff by establishing and enforcing all accounting policies and procedures related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, payroll and other operational procedures.
Advises team as needed on GL coding and accounting policy matters
Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing group policies and procedures. Reports pertinent financial information to corporate office in Sweden.
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing group policies and procedures.
Manages the budgeting and auditing process by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data and recommending any changes. Researches and analyzes any budget variances.
Manage analyses of operating expense by providing direction and insight to team on areas of focus (marketing reports, staff analysis, travel analysis, investment deck)
Assists Regional Controller in preparation of budget summary presentations for senior management
Ensures that all required federal, state and local financial reports are filed. Complies with all federal, state and local legal requirements; anticipates future legislation, advises management on any needed action.
Facilitates negotiation and resolution of complex collection issues.
Collaborates with financial analysis and budgeting team to Manage capital budget and commitments, and communicate budget decisions / approval.
Manages financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees. Maintains staff results by coaching, planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
Review and approve journal entries and key assumptions underlying accruals.
Miscellaneous local or corporate projects and duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need...
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance
Bachelors degree in business or finance
7-10 years of finance/accounting experience
5 years management experience
