SUMMARY
As the Systems Administrator, you'll be responsible for providing operational support, administration, installation and maintenance of company network hardware and software. Executes all routine hardware and software administrative and operational tasks for the Detroit Pistons. This position would be employed by a third-party IT Consultant - Getronics.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Serve as a technical resource for Information systems and managers of other departments
Research, analyze, track and resolve production problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Support, Monitor and administer the operation of company hardware and software (e.g., operating systems, middleware, SAN and server hardware/software).
Identify and resolve server problems utilizing structured troubleshooting methods and tools.
Resolve server related issues escalated from the support team
Helpdesk support as needed
Monitor the operation of systems to ensure proper functioning of hardware and software
Manage backups of server sand applications
Participate with vendors during problems analysis/resolution as required
Monitors and tunes system performances
Document system configuration, inventory/assets and network procedures.
Administer active directory user accounts and file access
Establish organizational policies governing computer behavior and access
Administer desktop computers, printers, smartphones software deployment, security updates and patches
Applying OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities; configuring / adding new services as necessary
Administer automated software deployment to all end user workstations
Establish processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvements to ensure the uniform delivery and repeatability of IT support services
Diagnose and resolve email, Internet, local-area network access, applications and hardware problems
Maintain accurate documentation for all relevant support-related processes and procedures including, but not limited to, updating systems and application technical standards, installation notes, and support procedures
Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and software assigned to employees
Understand, analyze, and resolve usability and stability issues in our suite of applications
Facilitate the process of employee on-boarding and terminations by managing the delivery or re-purposing of designated company equipment and software
Help manage, update, replace, and operate infrastructure components
Provide recommendations on how to improve the service delivery of the IT Support Team
Train and educate users / Team Members in best practices
Process new hire setups, transfers, terminations, moves and changes
Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner
Ability to prioritize workload and maintain a positive relationship with various personalities while dealing with end-user computer frustration
Ability to converse appropriately with all levels of the organization.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 3-5 years of Windows Server environment administration.
2+ years' experience with the following: Domain Controllers, SCCM, Powershell, Exchange Servers, Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, AD Connect, Hybrid Cloud, VMware, ESXi, High level of familiarity with Microsoft infrastructure Server 2008 and up, and OMS
Research, Plan and execute maintenance of servers, including application of patches and security
Manage and deploy Disk to disk backups including test restores, etc.
San Experience preferred, but not required
Networking experience preferred, but not required
SQL server experience preferred, but not required
Willingness to work with systems in a fast-paced industry
Willingness to work during and support events
Off hour availability as needed
