The Sales Crediting Director is responsible for the completion and accuracy of Pearson’s sales crediting process, whereby our Higher Education sales team is properly credited for sales within their territories. This individual must be capable of providing guidance on resolution while creating and communicating policies and process. This role is critical to our monthly and quarterly sales crediting and payment processes and is an outstanding opportunity to be a leader on our Sales Operations Team and work in close partnership with our Sales and Finance teams.

Responsibilities for this role include the following:
Oversee Pearson Higher Education’s sales crediting process, including business rules, policies and procedures, reporting, data flows, and system integrations.

Research and analyze customer activity to clarify complex transactions and processes.

Identify trends, and make recommendations to Sales Operations leadership to address via goal setting, territory management, or other means.

Establish and manage the annual goal setting process, in conjunction with sales leadership and Finance.

Lead the Sales Crediting team to identify and analyze outliers and determine a systematic manner to adjust according to business rules.

Establish policies and define processes for sales account executives, sales operations and sales commission regarding sales commissions and applying it to specific transactions.

Lead the Sales Crediting team to understand data models, related objects and sales order processes within Pearson systems to be able to analyze gaps and implement processes based on existing functionality.

Provide reporting and analysis of complex sales transactions and orders. Create and drive value-add analytics on ad hoc requests from the business and key stakeholders.

Liaise with project management teams to support strategic business initiatives for growth and scale including setting business rules for IT configuration, determining appropriate business policy for new endeavors and facilitating change management process for current organizational set-up.

Create policy and process changes to the Sales Crediting process and ensure proper documentation.

Understand and support the territory management processes

Lead the Sales Crediting team to understand and support third party transactions, and how they impact sales crediting.

Work with other Sales Operations teams, including sales process teams, reporting teams, and territory management teams, to ensure alignment with processes and systems.

**Qualifications**

The following skill sets are necessary to be successful in this role:

+ Strong analytical and technical skills (Proficiency in Excel a must; familiarity and experience using Salesforce and Tableau preferred)

+ Strong skills in use of order management or similar systems

+ Previous experience in a CRM environment

+ Self-motivated to meet deadlines independently

+ Ability to handle multiple priorities

+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a variety of other departments

+ Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills

+ Strong learning agility

The following qualifications are required:
+ Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred

+ 7 - 9 years’ experience within a Finance or Operations organization
