Location: Sterling, Virginia
The Supplier Management Coordinator assists with the implementation and management of supplier networks used to support service delivery activities for company clients. The coordinator role supports all Enterprise supply chain deliverables including; development of strong supplier relationships, management of CapRelo’s supplier network through innovative operational excellence and supplier negotiations. Reviews and analyzes data, conducts research and cost analysis activities, and provides recommendations for optimal resource allocations to client and other stakeholders.
Collaboratively works with and supports the Director of Supply Chain Management to identify solutions, implement innovations, drive change, achieve operational objectives and efficiencies, and build internal capabilities and supplier relationships and service provider networks to support all areas of relocation service.
Researches and recommends supplier partners according to specific criteria and by particular supplier categories.
Monitors market conditions to identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities.
Track and assist with the reporting of KPIs, successes, and cost savings wins.
Capitalize on savings opportunities to include consolidation of spending, increased efficiencies, and bulk pricing.
Work with IT to enhance technology tools and e-business/e-procurement solutions.
Continuously identify and present solutions and options based on client specifications and requirements.
Preparation of management reports and analysis of sales and statistical data.
Navigate complex business relationships and supplier partnerships.
Assess the strengths and weaknesses of suppliers and what they bring to the table.
Draft and manage business plans with supplier partners that include complex operational detail.
Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier management, preferably in a global relocation business or similar industry.
Familiarity with ISO regulations a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
High attention to detail with excellent negotiation skills and cost consciousness.
Highly proficient in MS Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Purchasing systems.
Proactive, hands-on problem solving skills.
Meticulous, organized, and resourceful.
Ability to understand financial statements.
An understanding of legal issues involved with contract management.
Extremely organized and copes well under pressure.
Must be creative, strategic, pragmatic, and aggressive in forming alliances.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
