The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh is recruiting a Recruitment and Enrollment Research Coordinator for an exciting national program to recruit one million individuals and create a resource for researchers to develop more personalized approaches to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. The All of Us PA Research Program is the local partner of the National Institutes of Health program. The local program will enroll 120,000 or more individuals in this groundbreaking study, initially focused on Western and Central Pennsylvania. The study includes the completion of online consents and participant surveys and collection of biospecimens (blood and urine).
The Recruitment and Enrollment Specialist will implement the study protocol in multiple settings including dedicated enrollment clinics, physician practices, hospital settings (outpatient/inpatient) and in community partner settings in a designated catchment area. The individual is experienced in the clinical and/or research setting and is able to take on a site-specific management role when required under the direction of a Location or Site Lead. They will interact with potential participants along the continuum of study enrollment – including engagement (explaining study basics to a potential participant), recruitment (scheduling and supporting completion of online informed consent and participant surveys) and collection and processing of blood and urine samples and documenting all activities. The candidate will oversee the collection and reporting of data related to the enrollment continuum and provide peer support to other members of the team to assure data collection and standard operating procedures are followed. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with diverse communities, is flexible, positive, friendly and a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills. The candidate will train and mentor new staff members in the study protocol and work closely with the Training and Education coordinator to assure staff competencies are maintained.
The candidate will be results-oriented and will promote teamwork and enthusiasm to meet program goals and enrollment metrics. The Recruitment and Enrollment Research Coordinator will report to the Location or Site lead for their respective assignments.
