TPI Composites is a global provider of structural composites products and the largest U.S. based independent manufacturer of composites wind blades to major turbine manufacturers in the United States, Europe, and Asia. TPI Composites is looking for an IT Sr. Director, Enterprise Digital Transformation to lead our growing portfolio of business application systems and to provide leadership in the integration, development, and planning of our application architecture, strategy and team.
The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a business/IT project plan that supports the Company's strategic plan and long-term goals through the deployment and enhancements of IT business applications while aligning critical business processes to global standards.
In addition, this role serves as a key thought leader in helping to digitize the employee and customer/supplier experience throughout the business lifecycle. This includes management of the portfolio and roadmap of IT activities needed to support the key business functions in their digitization efforts.
Responsible for establishing the Enterprise Solution Roadmaps for Operations, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Finance, Human Resources, and Commercial business functions. This includes a focus on digitizing key business processes to reduce the functional cost to serve for each organization.
Responsible for the application lifecycle – including application support, development, and deployment activities.
Lead a team of global business process owners, subject matter experts, and technical resources in the design, development, and validation of enterprise application solutions
Develop productive relationships with business leaders across the organization to influence how applications can enable new sources of value
Partners with the VP Operations to ensure manufacturing facilities operate in a highly efficient, modern, and technology-enabled environment.
Manage a global IT organization, developing their skills and capabilities to meet the needs of the organization, as well as building on existing recruiting capabilities to address new needs and skills gaps.
Prioritizes work efforts on projects including scheduling, assignment of work, and review of project efforts. Helps to develop the project scope, estimates project cost, and efforts needed of customers across the organization.
Participate in the development and adoption of standards, policies, and best practices within ERP and across business lines – including the alignment of global business processes by function to system standards
Develop and maintain IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans for key business applications
Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.
Establish service metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT team. Provide monthly review of service metrics with comparisons to targeted goals and objectives.
Ensure all required controls are in place and monitor for compliance.
Manage the software development lifecycle required to support the application portfolio, applying industry standard principles and working methods
10+ years of progressive and relevant IT leadership practice.
7+ years leadership experience with ERP software in a manufacturing environment
Significant exposure to key enterprise software applications, including ERP, PLM, and Data Analysis tools.
Demonstrated program management skills, including global deployments across multiple business functions.
Previous demonstrated success with providing global ERP deployments and solution oversight.
Experience transitioning an organization from traditional to agile development methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences
Proven track record and experience in supporting the adoption of global processes and systems
Excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives
Degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience
High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity
