Hours: Full time, Richmond, VA 23230
Rate: $49,700/year minimum + great benefits!

This position is 70% archiving, 20% photography, and 10% travel.
Archives all IMB photography, both recent and historical, digital and film. Receives and ingests photo projects from overseas and staff contributors, as well as contractors, into an internal network storage and the IMB online photo library.
Responds to strategic image requests from internal and external sources when the solution is not found in the online library. Provides special research assistance to the archive for internal and external special requests/events/products.
Evaluates current practices, stays current with professional standards, and develops new practices in imaging, data management, and digitization that meet the needs of a diverse audience, and plans for the changing needs of staff and the public.
Serves as the primary photographer for all studio, products, and stateside events within the IMB. Schedules studio time to service the photographic needs (portraits and passports) of missionary candidates and missionaries at FPO and STAS.
Travels nationally for IMB events and internationally, as needed, to produce photographic images for feature articles.

5 years’ experience in a related field
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Understands Southern Baptist identity – who they are (past and present), what they believe, and how they work together to accomplish IMB mission objectives.
Advanced knowledge of computer technology and software as it relates to all aspects of photo acquisition, manipulation, storage, image transfer, and display.
High level of competence in Adobe Photoshop, Photo Mechanic, and Apple systems.
Demonstrates competency as a professional photographer (portfolio required).
Strong photo editing skills required.
Proficient in using digital imagery in social media.
Strong attention to details a must.
Works quickly and efficiently to produce quality material under daily deadline pressure.
Able to travel as needed, both stateside and overseas, for possible coverage assignments.
Accurately evaluates priorities to see that the most important projects are completed first.
