The Transitional Support Services (TSS), is an inpatient treatment program for men and women 18 and older with substance abuse disorders. The program is designed to work with clients on their goals for recovery while preparing them for their next step in treatment. Clients in the program can stay up to 90 days while they are pursuing, accepted or waiting for further placement to a halfway house. The program provides individual case management along with 6 treatment groups per day, run by all team members. TSS is an exciting, dynamic environment in which all members of the team work together to ensure the best outcomes for our clients. As a Residential counselor, you have the opportunity to make an impact by providing support and teaching skills. Examples of this include running groups and providing individual support when appropriate. Working in the TSS program, you will learn how to provide support in a collaborative manner.

A relief residential counselor can work 0-20 hours a week depending on the program’s need. In this flexible position, there are no set shifts, and staff are scheduled or called as needed to cover empty shifts. This gives you the opportunity to help others without the commitment.
Supervise clients on unit
Maintain safety of unit
Facilitate client intakes and discharges
Conduct toxicology screens and personal searches
Helping clients with daily needs
Maintaining cleanliness of unit
Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
HSD/HiSet/GED required, Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
Bachelor's degree required; degree and/or coursework in social work, counseling, psychology or related field preferred
Previous experience with the program's population
Good communication and time management
Must be able to pass a CORI background check
