What we're looking for
As the Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) Manager, you'll be an early member of our finance team and will play a significant role in laying the foundation for our next phase of growth. The ideal candidate for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by the difficult challenges we will face while executing our vision. You will help build a critical function that is empathetic to the needs of our members and teams, generates valuable information and insights that drive business decisions, and inspires confidence in our real estate partners. You are able to take a strategic approach to help us grow, while also diving into the details of an operational complex business.
This position is fully remote, although we have many team members in the NYC region.
What you'll do
Lead planning and budgeting for the company and departments, and our network of Saltbox locations
Partner with leadership and teams to measure performance against our goals
Develop financial models, analytics and metrics that help drive business decisions across our Saltbox locations and Solutions business lines
Build and maintain reporting infrastructure that reflects the business, improves decision making at all levels
Be an expert on our real estate partnership agreements, collaborating with real estate to ensure the systems are set up to track location performance and comply with financial requirements
Be entrepreneurial and adaptable, filling in the gaps for the team as we build a finance machine that scales
Support analyses and presentations for fundraising, board meetings and investor relations activities.
What we're looking for
4+ years experience as an associate/analyst in real estate private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or consulting is preferred
Driven team member who knows how to balance the trade-offs between excellence and good enough as we grow
You communicate well and build strong relationships with your team, colleagues and external stakeholders. They view you as a helpful partner who aims for successful outcomes.
Proactive, analytical and curious mindset, taking initiative to be innovative and improve the way we operate
Expertise in financial modeling is required
Experience with real estate transactions or operations would be an asset
Familiarity with SaaS metrics, Netsuite and Business Intelligence platforms is a plus
Entrepreneurial experience in a high growth, operationally complex environment is a plus.
