The Corporate Accounting Director will oversee the SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting and Corporate Accounting processes. The Corporate Accounting Director is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate quarterly and annual filings with the SEC; compliance with US GAAP including impact assessment and implementation of new standards and policy governance; oversight of corporate accounting and reporting policies and processes including accounting data governance, global close calendar, consolidations, cash flows, legal contingencies, incentive compensation, stock compensation and other benefit accounting, preparation of financial reporting for board meetings and quarterly consolidated balance sheet and reserve analysis. This role will work with key business partners including the global accounting teams; Investor Relations, Legal, Financial Planning, Human Resources, and the External Auditors.

Responsibilities:
Directly oversee SEC reporting, technical accounting and corporate accounting teams at HQ.
Responsible for collaboration with Investor Relations and Legal on the development of quarterly earnings releases and periodic investor presentations.
Leads the development and ultimate filings with the SEC on a quarterly basis in partnership with Legal.
Monitors technical accounting standard developments and provides an ongoing assessment of potential impact of proposed / new standards and leads implementation efforts of new standards.
Provides governance and oversight of global technical accounting policy.
Provides governance and oversight of the global close process and global accounting master data.
Oversees and manages the monthly consolidation process including the delivery of certified reports.
Owns the accounting for corporate processes associated with incentive compensation (inclusive of executive plans), stock compensation, other benefits (insurance, 401(k), PTO, etc.) and severance including providing guidance on accounting implications of new or proposed changes to existing compensation / benefit arrangements.
Lead, manage and develop team of professional accountants.
Position is responsible for direct supervision of three professional accounting team members at HQ.

Requirements:
Minimum Masters in Accounting or MBA with relevant experience.
CPA required
Requires a minimum of 15 years of relevant business experience within finance and accounting, including 8 or more years of experience managing a team
Experience working for a multi-national consumer products company is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting, US GAAP and SEC regulatory requirements, consolidation and experience with the impact of foreign currency on financial statements. Experience with financial planning processes a plus.
Requires strong leadership and diplomacy skills to guide teams and facilitate collaboration.
Possess excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Must have mental capacity to troubleshoot and solve problems of high complexity or difficulty.
Ability to lead and influence others is required.
Ability to work independently with limited direction and cooperatively in a team environment.
Must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize projects, and superior attention to detail.
