We have an exceptional opportunity for a Director of Business Development to join our Healthcare Leadership Team in Brentwood, TN.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Director of Business Development

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field required. MBA preferred.

5+ years of direct work experience in sales, correctional healthcare experience a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office application(s) and Client Relationship Management (CRM) programs. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to present oneself with confidence in one on one and group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the mission of the company; supports company goals and strategic priorities.
Able to partner and interact with all levels within the organization.
Able to multi-task and adapt to changes and shifting priorities with ease in a fast paced environment.
Requires over 70% travel including some weekends and holidays as dictated by the client, conference schedule and RFP mandatory dates.
Job Summary of the Corizon Health Director of Business Development

Responsible for driving business growth by proactively developing sales markets including but not limited to State, Local and Federal Government opportunities, resulting in new sales, successful rebids, and contract extensions. Responsible for managing the proposal development process (requests for proposal or RFP or similar), and developing new business intelligence prior to the release of the RFP using the Salesforce Database). Responsible for collaborating with Client Partnership team members on the management of existing client relationships.

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Director of Business Development

Manage Request for Proposal (RFP) process for:
New Business;
Re-bids for current business; and
Extensions prior to contract expiration and RFP release
Complete a market analysis of possible business opportunities within assigned area and develop a client evaluation report (CER) and execute sales plan designed to meet the specific needs of each target account within a predetermined defined period of time.
Identify, target and actively engage decision makers in known market opportunities to understand core needs and key client drivers and effectively influence RFP parameters within legal guidelines.
Educate existing and prospective clients on advantages of Corizon, differentiating based on key needs of each identified client and Corizon's strengths.
Manage all aspects of the sales process. Leverage other internal or external resources to effectively position Corizon.
Lead strategy and approach to new business opportunities; lead sales process with operations, Corporate Office support departments and Proposal Development Team.
Assist in client partnership maintenance by participating in the development and maintenance of a client matrix with various constituents in your sales territory, in addition to key decision makers, other market influencers, lobbyists, legislators, etc.
Solicit and maintain market intelligence regarding political issues that will influence current or future bids, positively or negatively, and generate effective strategies to take advantage to mitigate circumstances.
Set goals for proposals to ensure that the Proposal Development Team clearly understands key decision maker's core needs and advise on structuring response for maximum impact and evaluation scoring.
Formulate bid response aligned with overall company performance objectives including quality health initiatives, staffing and profitability.
Assist Client Partnership team members with maintaining on-going client relationships with regular and frequent correspondence and meetings to ensure client continuity and provide additional support to operations. Periodically over the term of a contract participation will also include more active direct involvement with clients.
Assist Client Partnership team members with client contract modifications and manage all contract extensions, amendments and upgrades.
Assist in contracting process for key subcontractors and / or networks required to deliver required services under the client contracts, including MBE/WBE businesses.
Participate in the post mortem process on contracts and proposals as needed. Recommend program and process improvements to senior leadership.15. Adhere to procedures and policies for department completing annual trainings/certifications on a timely basis
Participate in development of strategic Business Development programs and processes. Provide insight and suggestions to EVP and VP of Business Development.
Participate in corporate strategic initiatives as indicated.
Participate in managing consultants and lobbyists.
Coordinate and organize approved conference attendance.
Submit timely and accurate records of travel expenses for reimbursement that fall within corporate guidelines (within 30 days).
Other duties as assigned.
